Born of a Swiss mother from near Lausanne, and an English father, I have had the privilege of a dual background – that of culture, and also of geography, from two countries. From my English inheritance I have the experience of the sea surrounding an island, with Nordic and Celtic myth and language. Switzerland has always meant for me the land of mountains, those that I know so well seen across the Lac Léman, and the land of dizzy heights, twisted pines and weary travellers as seen in engravings and books in my grandmother’s house.
I work from a studio in Somerset, England, and have exhibited in many local and national exhibitions. As well as taking part in many Open Studio events, I have shown in Printfest, Cumbria, Art In Action, Oxfordshire, and shown several times in the Royal West of England Academy (Bristol) and Royal Academy (London) in group or Summer Shows. I have also been selected and shown in the Atkinson Gallery, Millfield and in National Print Competions (Mall Galleries, London).
I teach printmaking to small numbers in my studio, lecture in Art and Design, and am happy to take on commissions. Please visit my website.
