Although I am English, my association and interest in Switzerland began in the late 1960’s. I lived and worked in the Basle area of Switzerland for 5 years, which has been followed by many visits to friends and for holidays ever since. I have been an active member of the Midlands Swiss Society since 1988. My watercolour painting (Harmony in Appenzell) was included in the exhibition of Swiss Artists UK in 2005 at Chateau de Penthes, Geneva. Christian and the Matterhorn and Fasnacht in Basel were included in the 2016 Geneva exhibition.

Since childhood, I have always enjoyed drawing a wide variety of subjects, and painting mainly in watercolours, and I have been pleased to be able to pursue my hobby throughout my life. Living in a picturesque village near the Cotswolds, I take much inspiration from my surroundings, whether at home or away. I am currently a member of two local art societies, and have taken part successfully in various exhibitions and competitions over the years. My work has also been used to support a number of local fund-raising projects, such as using paintings of mine for local Christmas cards and calendars.
